Q1. Why should I pay for financial planning?

Answer:

At FSB4Financial we recommend you ask yourself a number of questions before determining a financial planning strategy.

Q1. How effective have I/we been up to this point – financially speaking?

Q2. What criteria, matrix or process have I used for my/our budgeting, investing and risk management?

Q3. Do I have the time, discipline and knowledge to do my own, my families or my businesses financial planning?

Q4. If I/we make a serious error in our financial planning – how serious would the consequences be?

Q5. Who do we listen to when the markets collapse? The media, a relative or our Adviser?

From your perspective the answers will determine ‘why should I pay for financial planning advice’, that is – you either DO IT YOURSELF – or hire/delegate to a professional.

In our experience by far the most important awareness people need to have is the knowledge that human behaviour dictates financial outcomes. Without advice people will react to media and events. Both poor criteria for determining financial decisions.
